Independently owned and operated, Orillia Eyewear & iCare started out on Mississaga Street in downtown Orillia in 1992. There, we became an integral part of the local business community, and as we grew, decided to move in early 2006 to our current location at Monarch Drive at West Ridge Place.
We continue to passionately work to fulfill the optical and fashion eyewear needs of all of our clients and patients. At Orillia Eyewear & iCare, the clarity and quality of your vision is of the utmost importance. We employ only licensed Opticians so that we can ensure that your vision needs are met with precision.
When you shop at Orillia Eyewear & iCare, you can be assured that you are working with a true professional who is not only able to understand each of your unique vision needs, but will also seamlessly tailor each pair of glasses to fit you and your personal-style.
Dr. Neal Kingstone is a highly dedicated, passionate optometrist with over 25 years of experience. He is committed to providing the finest and most personalized eye care to patients of all ages. He firmly believes that excellent health begins with education and prevention, and enjoys enlightening his patients to ways they can take greater control over their own eye health.
Dr. Kingstone received his Optometric training at the prestigious New England School of Optometry in Boston MA, where he earned his Doctorate degree in 1992. After a residency year in which he received a Fellowship in Clinical Education, Dr. Kingstone spent the next 11 years practising in a multi-disciplinary healthcare setting affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston MA. In early 2004, he moved with his wife and two young children back to his home north of Toronto. There, he soon discovered the wonderful community surrounding Orillia ON where he began to practise in early 2006. Dr. Kingstone so much enjoyed caring for his patients in Orillia, that in September 2015 he became the new owner of Orillia eyewear, which has since been renamed Orillia Eyewear & iCare in order to reflect its growing Optometric practice. In his spare time, Dr Kingstone enjoys training for and participating in several triathlons throughout Ontario.
Dr. Kingstone and his staff look forward to continuing to provide all of their patients and customers with excellent eye health care as well as furnishing all of their optical and eyewear needs for many years to come!

Dr. Monk comes to our office after a short-lived semi-retirement. He enjoys meeting new and returning people to the practice and working with the excellent staff already here. With the new generation technology at Dr. Kingstone’s office, patient care is taken to a higher level allowing full integration into the health care family. He has worked for over two decades helping to regulate the profession at the College of Optometrists of Ontario.
Eye care hasn’t been his only interest, as being a commercial pilot and active boater, has opened up the ability to explore our country. With his wife Carol, they enjoy being parents of their combined family of six children and proud of them all.
